Red Velox is a premium, high-color mutation of the standard Red Delicious family originating from Italy. Known for its outstanding market presentation, it distinguishes itself by developing an intensive, solid, dark red blush covering 100% of the fruit surface remarkably early—often two to three weeks ahead of other clones. This exceptionally early coloration provides excellent protection against sunburn and allows for a more homogeneous harvest. The tree exhibits moderate, uniform growth with high, consistent yields that resist alternate bearing. The crisp, white flesh delivers a sweet flavor profile with low acidity, wrapped in a classic, distinctly lobed conical shape.
